LAHORE: Punjab Chief Minister (CM) Chaudhry Pervez Elahi met former prime minister and Pakistani Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) Chairman Imran Khan and discussed the political situation in the province, ARY News reported. on Monday.
According to the details, the head of the Punjab minister called on former prime minister at his residence in Zaman park in Lahore. Rasih Elahi – son of main minister – also attended the meeting.
During the meeting, issues related to vote of confidenceThe Punjab Assembly, the political situation in the province and the flour crisis were discussed.
Speaking on On this occasion, Imran Khan criticized the decision coalition for “destruction” of the country’s economy, saying that rising inflation hurt people of Pakistan.
“They are [the government] should be ashamed of begging in Geneva,” the head of PTI said, adding that “incompetent” rulers will return empty-handed even from the conference.
Meanwhile, CM Pervez Elahi said no one should talk about Pakistan Muslim League-Quade (PML-Q) support for Imran Khan. “We will always stand by decision taken by PTI chief,” he repeated.
CM Pervez Elahi said that the opposition dreams of coming to power in the province, as it were, did not have required vote count to call vote of no-confidence against to him in Assembly.
Previously in December, lawyers of The Pakistani Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) organization informed Imran Khan that the Punjab Assembly could not be dissolved before 11 January.
