Kenya National Examinations Council (KNEC) is responsible for conducting the Kenya Certificate of Primary Education (KCPE) exam and releasing the results.

How to check KCPE results online
The KNEC portal (www.knec.ac.ke) usually releases the KCPE results a few weeks after the exams are completed. To check your results online, you will need your index number and the year of the exam.
- On your browser via computer or phone
- Visit K.N.E.C website www.knec.ac.ke
- Next, enter your Index number.
- Click submit
How to check KCPE results via SMS
KNEC also provides a service where you can check your KCPE results by sending an SMS to a designated number.
You can check KCPE class of 2022 results by sending an SMS together with the Index Number followed by the initials KCPE to 20076 from Safaricom, Airtel or Telcom. SMS costs Ksh. 20 across all networks.
- Go to Messages on your phone
- Input your index number
- Send to SMS code 20076
- You will receive your results confirmation message
Through your school: You can also check your KCPE results by contacting your school. The school should have received a copy of the results from KNEC and should be able to provide them to you.
